About Me

I am a Level III Running Coach with the Lydiard Foundation, an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the legendary coaching principles of Arthur Lydiard, one of the most influential distance running coaches in history.

My Coaching Journey

The Level III certification is more than just a qualification—it’s a lifelong mentorship program led by Lorraine Moller, MBE, a four-time Olympian and winner of 16 international marathons. My second mentor, Colin Lancaster, is a respected running coach and tutor with Welsh and English Athletics.

The Lydiard Foundation's advisory board includes an incredible group of Olympians, scientists, and coaches, such as:

  • Barry McGee – Olympic Bronze Medalist and renowned endurance coach.

  • Greg McMillan – Exercise scientist and elite running coach.

  • Rod Dixon – Former New Zealand middle-distance and long-distance Olympian.

  • Dr. Mark Cucuzzella – Professor of Medicine and competitive runner, specialising in endurance performance and injury prevention.

Expanding My Knowledge & Expertise

Beyond my coaching certifications, I am deeply committed to continuous learning and professional development. I regularly participate in courses and workshops with Athletics Ireland & Sporting Ireland, covering areas such as:
✔ Sports Nutrition – Understanding how to fuel endurance performance.
✔ Performance Psychology – Helping athletes master the mental side of running.
✔ Injury Prevention & Recovery – Keeping runners strong and resilient.

Currently, I am also pursuing a Level 8 qualification in Sport & Performance Psychology, further deepening my understanding of mental resilience, motivation, and peak performance strategies for athletes.

Over the years, I’ve supported runners in achieving success across a range of distances—from 5K to marathons—helping them transform their ambitions into reality. My coaching services include personalized 1:1 online coaching and in-person sessions whenever possible.
